ICC
Government of Pakistan conducts Central Superior Service (CSS) Exams annually it designated department Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC). Selected candidates are trained the Civil Services Academy in train as Common Training Programme which is followed by specialized trains of respective cadres, in different designated institutions. National Police Academy (NPA) is specialized police trains institutes of Pakistan which trains Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs). Initially, ASPs trained in Basic Courses, which these subsequently replaced, with Initial Command Course (ICC) after 1998.
Initial Command Course (ICC) is Specialized Training Programme (STP) designed the new entrants of Police Service of Pakistan (PSP) or mid-level police managers which is spread over 18 months. This training consists upon four different phasis 1) Foundation; 2) Development; 3) Field Attachment & 4) Consolidation.
CBC
National Police Academy arranges variety of Capacity Building Courses on different policing subjects. These capacity building courses are attended by officers of 35 different police and law enforcement agencies/departments. Primarily, these courses are of 1-2 week’s duration. Resource persons having expertise on the subjects are invited to enlighten/educate the participants in these courses.

MID CAREER MANAGEMENT COURSE
Mid Career Management Courses at National Police Academy are envisaged at raising standards in operations by helping the police officers consolidate their experiences and help them analyze the best practices in developed countries in the light of the requirements of modern police management at the top level and ways to adopt them locally. The theme of the Programme is Strategy, Innovation and Optimized Management.
